Local literature monitoring
MS Pharm handles over 1000 local medical, pharmaceutical and veterinary journals (mostly not indexed in the global databases) in over 45 countries. Per month, over 500 journal issues and over 9,500 articles are reviewed against pharmacovigilance-relevant information.
We analyze each publication in terms of the country of origin, the name of the medicinal product, its form and route of administration, and the event as the author presents it, including author’s causality assessment.
Our proprietary, dedicated application automatically sends the structured report in the expedited (24 h, Safety Report) and regular (weekly or monthly reports) manner
Our services include:
- ongoing monitoring of local medical and pharmaceutical journals by a team of qualified and experienced reviewers speaking local languages
- intellectual review of full-text articles to identify pharmacotherapy used (INNs, local synonyms and common names, brands), including treatment regimens
- searching for potential ICSRs, as well as the information relevant to risk-benefit assessment
- analysis of the type of event or special situation (AE, SAE, ADR, SADR, off-label use, medication error, misuse, pregnancy, etc.)
- reporting the identified information
